Anna's Alfred Hat Tips
The one in which you move files with Alfred
My Mac’s desktop often serves as a “gathering” place. Files that I download, documents I’m currently working on stay on top so as to refresh my mind and be visually accessible. But when a task is done and I no longer need to keep files there as reminders, I move them away inside parent folders (still accessible with a few keyboard hits with the lovely help of Alfred :).
Here’s a neat little process that I use to painlessly move files without having to go through multiple folder structure.
Select a file on my desktop/in Finder
Press alt-cmd-\ to bring up list of result actions within Alfred for this specific file
type “m” and select “move to”
start typing the name of the folder I’d like to move a file into
press return
And it’s gone! :)
